XRP ETF: XRP Spot ETFs Draw $26.20 Million Friday for August's No. 2 Session
SoSoValue data shows U.S. spot XRP ETFs collected $26.1964 million on August 28 while XRP traded lower on the day.
Fresh Capital Amid Softer Prices
XRP closed the session at lower levels even as spot exchange-traded funds gathered a sizable chunk of new money. The $26.1964 million inflow arrived on August 28, a figure that CoinGabbar ranks as the second-strongest August day for the group after only one prior session. Bitwise XRP ETF led with $15.3981 million, while Canary XRPC added $5.1198 million. Grayscale was the sole issuer in the red.
The contrast stands out because XRP itself fell 2.52 percent to $1.39 on the same session. Spot Bitcoin, Ether and SOL products are not part of this print, keeping the focus on XRP vehicles alone.
Capital Totals at a Glance
At the time of the report, total assets under management for the five U.S. spot XRP ETFs reached $1.439 billion. The net-asset ratio sat at 1.66 percent. Cumulative net inflows since launch climbed to $1.663 billion. Bitwise’s historical total now stands at $603 million and Canary’s at $483 million.
These figures reflect ongoing accumulation rather than borrowed leverage or external backing. The structure shows self-funded growth through daily creations and redemptions that track actual investor demand.
Chart View and Flow Timing
On the daily chart XRP printed a lower close despite the inflow headline. The move left the token inside a narrow range that has held since mid-August. Volume remained moderate, with no decisive break of either the session high or low.
The Friday print came after lighter Thursday activity and sits below the month’s strongest single-day reading. Only one earlier August session posted a larger number, according to CoinGabbar. The rest of the month produced smaller or mixed daily flows.
Issuer Split and Market Reaction
Bitwise captured the majority of the day’s money, extending its lead in the issuer standings. Canary followed with roughly one-fifth of the total. The remaining issuers split smaller slices or posted modest outflows, with Grayscale alone finishing negative.
Traders watching the spot market saw XRP hold near $1.39 into the weekend. The inflow number supplied a supportive backdrop, yet price action stayed tied to broader altcoin sentiment rather than any single headline.
Self-Funded Structure in Focus
The ETF wrappers operate without debt or outside seed capital beyond initial seed shares. Daily creations and redemptions adjust share counts in line with net flows, keeping the capital base matched to real demand. That setup leaves little room for balance-sheet leverage and ties growth directly to investor appetite shown on the chart.
August now sits with one standout session and one clear runner-up. The Friday number keeps the group on a net-positive path for the month while XRP itself trades inside its recent range.
